 Chioma, founder of Sol Ulo, is a self-taught, faith-led artist and designer who has been drawing since she could walk. Art has been her getaway and what has grounded her. It is a space where she have found my deepest connections with God and with self. Chioma has worked in research for over five years, specializing in textile processing, agriculture, and African historical and political narrative. She is fascinated with the intersection of cultural preservation and visual design. Such fascination led her to create Sol Ulo.

Chioma's artistry is underpinned by visual directorship, technical medium development, and research literacy to weave together the vibrancy of personal storytelling, and its interaction with communal identity.

SOL ULO  is a world that plants, nurtures, and harvests curiosity while honoring heritage and individuality. Coming from the word "Ulo" meaning 'house' in Igbo, SOL ULO means "House of Sol,"  and gives direct homage to the cultural significance of community and artistic development in shared spaces. Sol Ulo is inspired by the same richness and communal preservation that has been cherished in Igbo cultural heritage for centuries. SOL ULO is a House of Soul, warmth, and creative communion.
