About

I am Chioma, a self-taught, faith-led artist who has been drawing since I could walk. I like to say that I have been playing in charcoal since grade school. Art has always been my getaway and what has grounded me. It is a space where I have found my deepest connections with God and with self. I am fascinated with the intersection of cultural preservation and visual design. I have worked in research for over five years, specialising in textile processing, agriculture, and African historical and political narrative. This work has motivated my recent explorations in design.
My artistry is underpinned by visual directorship, technical medium development, and research literacy to weave together the vibrancy of personal storytelling, and its interaction with communal identity.
SOL ỤLỌ is a world that plants, nurtures, and harvests curiosity while honouring the heritage and individuality that forms community. It is inspired by the same richness and communal preservation that has been cherished in Igbo cultural heritage for centuries. Sol Ụlọ is a house of soul, spirit, warmth, and creative communion.

Welcome.
